A.V. Kanthamma College for Women was founded to provide higher education to socially and economically disadvantaged women of the region. Affiliated to the University of Mysore, the college offers degree programmes across Science, Commerce and Humanities, and has grown into one of Hassan's most respected institutions for women's education.
